Product Description

TAPERED ROLLER BEARINGS

Overview

Tapered roller bearings have tapered inner and outer rings with tapered rollers between them. All the tapered surfaces meet at one point on the bearing axis. This special design allows the bearing to handle both radial and axial loads at the same time.

These bearings are separable. You can install the inner ring (with rollers and cage) separately from the outer ring. That makes mounting quick and easy.

They come in three types: single row, double row, and four row.


Features

  • Easy to install – The bearing separates into parts. You can mount the inner and outer rings separately.

  • Less stress – The rollers and raceways touch along a line, not a point. This reduces stress concentration.

  • Handles heavy loads – Supports both high radial loads and high axial loads.

  • One-way axial load only – A single bearing handles axial load in one direction. For the opposite direction, you need a second bearing installed the other way.

  • Stronger with bigger angle – The outer ring raceway angle decides the load capacity. Bigger angle means heavier load capacity.

  • Contact angle matters – The contact angle α controls axial load capacity. Bigger α = more axial load. The factor e tells you the angle size. Larger e means larger angle and better axial load performance.

  • Single row needs adjustment – You set the clearance during installation.

  • Double & four row are ready to use – The clearance is preset at the factory based on your requirements. No adjustment needed.
